Privacy Policy
Last updated September 17, 2026
Crowdcheck (“we”, “the service”) lets you test short posts on a simulated crowd of 10,000 AI readers before you publish them anywhere. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
What we collect
- Google account information when you sign in with Google: your Google account ID, name, email address and profile picture. We request only the basic
openid, emailandprofilescopes. - Your handle (the @name you choose).
- Your posts (up to 144 characters) and the reactions, statistics and draft comparisons generated for them.
- Synthetic audience data: how the AI personas reacted to you (views, likes, dislikes, reposts, follows, blocks, opinion scores). These personas are software, not people.
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
- Basic technical logs (such as IP address and request times) kept by our hosting provider for security and debugging.
How we use it
- To sign you in and show your handle, profile picture and AI audience.
- To run the simulation: your post text is analysed by an AI model to decide its topics, screen out hateful, threatening, sexual or spam content, and determine how AI personas react.
- To show public pages: posts, handles, profile statistics and the hall of fame are public. Your email address is never shown publicly.
- To prevent abuse, for example by limiting how many posts can be made per hour.
We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
Who processes it
- Vercel hosts the website and routes AI requests through Vercel AI Gateway.
- Neon hosts our Postgres database.
- TypeSafe AI runs the Jev model that analyses post text. Only post text and descriptions of AI personas are sent; not your email or Google details.
- Google provides sign-in.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account and posts until you delete them. You can delete your account at any time from your profile page (“Delete my account”), which permanently removes your account, your posts and all AI persona memories of you. Hosting logs are kept for a limited period by our providers.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data. You can also revoke this app’s access at any time from your Google Account’s security settings. For any privacy request, contact us at the address listed on our Google sign-in screen.
Children
The service is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
Google user data is used in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
